With a wide variety of products and items, you'll surely have an excellent shopping experience. And remember to check out the mini food court, where you can find a great menu at reasonable rates. One of the store's shining stars is Mr. Vishwanath, who works at the cash register. He's an amiable, energetic, courteous, and very customer-oriented individual who can speak several languages fluently, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarathi, and more. You'll easily spot him at the most queued-up cash register, where eager customers line up to have a conversation or ask for information about the store's products, services and happenings in the local area. ”
“ Most Indian grocery stores in RTP area are adequately stocked and pretty much sell the same stuff. There's almost nothing that you can't find at a particular store as the suppliers are the same. However, Spices Hut is a one stop shop for groceries, produce, meat and snacks. I no longer have to go separate stores for meat (halal goat etc.) and regular Indian groceries. The store is huge so there's never a mad rush like at other Indian grocery stores in Morrisville. There are a few items like dosa batter and roti that have no labels, no best before dates, no ingredients; strictly avoid those as you have no idea what's inside it and not worth saving a few cents. Just be sure to check dates on anything you buy. I've tried snacks from their food court and they're pretty good, especially samosas and chicken puffs. The sugarcane juice is awesome but $6 for a little cup is exorbitant. Meats are sold in a separate enclosure and I regularly buy from there as the quality is excellent. They sell "organic" chicken but I'm not sure how "organic" it actually is without appropriate labels. Glad to have this store in West Cary. ”
“ What a nice surprise! Apparently, there are at least two or three in the area, but we'd never heard of them until yesterday. This Spices Hut is in a former Walgreen's, and it's loaded with Indian spices, flours, cheeses, fresh vegetables and other good food. The produce was beautiful, especially the red peppers, and the prices were great on everything we bought. They have a hot bar in the back, but we didn't order anything from it. Everyone was wearing a mask, and the lines went quickly. Great neighborhood grocery! ”
“ Came here for the first time on Mother's Day and I must say, this store is very nice. It's clean and spacious and has almost any thing you might be looking for food wise. We checked out the food court/bakery and got chicken biryani, okra fry, and some cakes. Everything was really tasty, especially the cakes. The grocery selection was also very good! We will be back ”
